- Take at least ONE course from at least THREE Divisions (Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Humanities/Literature, and Arts)
- Take the .25 Core Lecture Series at least ONCE during a student’s time at OWU.
- Write papers or complete projects related to the Silk Road in all courses the student takes as part of the Silk Road Course Connection.
- Complete a final project for the connection after having taken at least THREE courses in the Silk Road Course Connection. There are two ways to do this. The student can either complete this requirement as an Independent Study under the supervision of a Silk Road Course Connection faculty member or travel to some part of the Silk Road to study a specific question about the Silk Road. When the student returns to campus, the student must give a presentation to Silk Road Course Connection faculty and students about his/her trip. Students are encouraged to either apply for TIPIT (Theory into Practice Travel Grant) or take a Travel Learning Course that is related to the Silk Road.
